Patna. Continuing his scathing attack on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, election strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor on Wednesday said whether Nitish Kumar makes him his successor or gives up the chief minister’s chair for him, he will Will not work for JDU supremo. Kishor had on Tuesday claimed that he had turned down a recent request by Kumar to “lead” the JD(U).

Addressing a gathering in Jamuniya village of West Champaran district as part of his 3,500-km-long padyatra to Bihar under ‘Jan Suraj Abhiyan’, Kishor said, “There was news in the media 10-15 days ago. Nitish ji had called to his house and said, hey brother, you are our heir, why are you doing all this. Come join us, become the leader of our party. Listened to them, many people sent us abusing them why they went to meet them. Went to meet Nitish ji so that together we can tell him that no matter how big the temptation you give, we will not back down from the promise we have made to the public once. Won’t back down, make a successor or vacate the chair, it doesn’t make any sense.

Kishor (45) was inducted into JD(U) by Kumar in 2018 and within weeks he was promoted to the post of the party’s national vice-president. However, he was expelled from the party due to his altercation with Kumar over the amended Citizenship Act (CAA), the National Register of Citizens (NRC) controversy.
